
With 41 years of experience in the market, ABIPA - the Brazilian Wood Panel Industry Association - brings together the biggest and most important wood-based panel manufacturers in Brazil.
Berneck, Duratex, Eucatex, Fibraplac, Masisa, Satipel and Tafisa are among the companies that together, generate 30,000 jobs directly and indirectly, developing products for the furniture, construction, packaging, automotive and wood products industries.
Continual modernisation of technology is one of the sector's principal objectives. In recent years, the installation of new panel production lines and the latest processes for printing, paper impregnation, lamination and painting have been fundamental to the recognition our products receive in markets at home and abroad.
Among its aims is to ensure the industry's full representation in both the national and international markets. To do this, it maintains regular contact with government organizations and with the principal associations and representative bodies of customers and their member.
Up until then, these companies, which were only producers of particleboard, were represented by the old organisation ABIMA - the Brazilian Particleboard Industry Association - founded in 1967.
